The Ammo Depot tracks every caliber and load in your inventory. You can monitor quantity in real time, set a threshold that triggers a low-stock alert, record lot numbers and storage locations for compliance or precision shooting, and designate specific loads to specific firearms. When you log a range session, My Kit automatically deducts rounds fired from the correct ammo record.Documentation Index

Adjusting quantity
You don’t need to edit a full ammo record just to update the round count. My Kit provides quick +/- controls on the Ammo Depot list for fast adjustments.Find the ammo record
Go to Ammo Depot. Use the caliber filter or scroll to find the load you want to update.
When you log a range session and specify rounds fired for a given load, My Kit automatically deducts those rounds from the matching ammo record. You don’t need to adjust quantity manually after a session.
Setting a low-stock threshold
The low-stock threshold lets My Kit warn you before you run out of a critical load. When the quantity on hand reaches or drops below the threshold, a Low stock action item appears on your dashboard with the caliber, brand, and current count. To set a threshold, open the ammo record and fill in the Low stock threshold field with the minimum number of rounds you want to maintain. To disable the alert, clear the field and save.Designating ammo to a firearm
You can link an ammo record to a specific firearm — useful when a particular load is dedicated to one platform, such as a carry load for a specific pistol or a precision handload for a bolt gun. To designate ammo to a firearm, open the ammo record’s edit screen, find the Designated firearm field, and select the firearm from the dropdown. The firearm must already exist in your Armory. When a load is designated to a firearm, My Kit shows that association on both the ammo record and the firearm’s detail view. When you log a range session and select that firearm, the designated ammo is pre-selected as a starting point.Lot tracking and storage location
For precision shooting, competitive use, or compliance purposes, two fields help you keep detailed records: Lot number stores the manufacturer’s lot identifier exactly as it appears on the box. If you have multiple purchases of the same load from different lots, create a separate ammo record for each lot and note the lot number on each. Storage location is a freeform text field you can use however makes sense for your setup — cabinet names, shelf numbers, container labels, or any location scheme that works for you. There is no fixed format.Do I need a separate record for each box?
Do I need a separate record for each box?
No. One record per load and lot is the right level of granularity. If you buy more boxes of the same lot, just increase the quantity on the existing record. Create a new record only when you have a different lot number or a meaningfully different load spec.
What happens to ammo quantity when I delete a range session?
What happens to ammo quantity when I delete a range session?
Deleting a range session restores the rounds that were deducted when the session was created. My Kit adds those rounds back to the corresponding ammo records automatically.
