Every My Kit account is tied to an email address and password. When your account is created, a private workspace is automatically provisioned for you. Everything you add — firearms, ammunition, gear, and range sessions — lives inside that workspace and is visible only to you. This page explains how authentication works, what your workspace is, and how to manage your account settings.

How accounts are created

My Kit does not offer public self-registration. Accounts are provisioned by an administrator or the My Kit team. Once your account is ready, you’ll receive your login credentials and can sign in immediately.
If you need an account and don’t have one, contact your administrator or reach out to the My Kit team at mykit.info.

Signing in

1

Go to the sign-in page

Navigate to mykit.info. If you’re not already signed in, the app redirects you to the sign-in page automatically.
2

Enter your credentials

Type your email address and password, then click Sign In. My Kit uses secure, cookie-based sessions — you stay signed in across browser tabs and page refreshes until you explicitly sign out or your session expires.
3

Access your dashboard

After a successful sign-in you land on the Overview dashboard. From there you can access all five inventory modules from the sidebar.
If your credentials are incorrect, an error message appears at the top of the form. Check that your email address is spelled correctly and that Caps Lock is off.

Your workspace

When your account is created, My Kit automatically creates a workspace (also called an organization) and links it to your account. Your workspace is completely isolated — no other account can read, write, or access any data in it.
Workspace isolation is enforced at the database level, not just the application layer. This means your data is protected even in the event of an application bug.
All inventory items you create — firearms, ammunition entries, gear items, clothing, and range sessions — are scoped to your workspace. When you view your dashboard, you see exactly your data and nothing else.

Signing out

To sign out, open the sidebar and click Sign Out (or navigate to your profile settings and click the sign-out option). My Kit immediately invalidates your session and redirects you to the sign-in page.
Signing out on a shared or public computer is important. My Kit does not automatically sign you out after inactivity.

Managing your profile

Your profile stores your display name alongside your account email. To update it:
1

Open profile settings

In the sidebar, click your email address or navigate to Profile under the account section.
2

Edit your name

Update your first name and last name fields, then click Save. Your display name updates immediately across the workspace.
Your email address is set at account creation and cannot be changed from the profile page.

Changing your password

1

Open profile settings

Navigate to Profile in the sidebar.
2

Enter a new password

Scroll to the password section. Enter your new password and confirm it in the second field.Passwords must be at least 6 characters long and the two fields must match exactly.
3

Save the change

Click Update Password. Your new password takes effect immediately for all future sign-ins.
Use a unique, strong password for your My Kit account. A password manager makes this easy to maintain.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account from your profile settings. Deleting your account removes your workspace, all inventory items, and your login credentials. This action cannot be undone.
Account deletion is permanent. All firearms, ammunition, gear, clothing, and range session data in your workspace will be erased and cannot be recovered.
If you want to preserve any records before deleting, export or note down the information you need first. To proceed, navigate to Profile and follow the account deletion prompt.
