Is my inventory data private and secure?
Is my inventory data private and secure?
Yes. Your inventory is completely private and visible only to you. My Kit uses a multi-tenant architecture where every record is tied to your personal workspace (organization). Row Level Security policies enforced at the database level ensure that no other user — and no application-level error — can ever expose your data to someone else’s workspace. Your inventory is yours alone.

What happens to my ammo count when I log a range session?
What happens to my ammo count when I log a range session?
When you log a range session in the Range Day module, My Kit will automatically deduct rounds from your Ammo Depot balance — but only if you selected a specific ammo record for the firearm used in that session. If you log a session without linking it to an ammo record, your round count will not change. Make sure to associate the correct ammo when recording a session to keep your depot accurate.
How do I get notified when a firearm needs cleaning?
How do I get notified when a firearm needs cleaning?
Set a last cleaned date and a cleaning interval (in days) on any firearm in the Armory. My Kit calculates when the next cleaning is due and displays a warning in the Action Items panel on your dashboard Overview page when the due date is within 14 days, escalating to critical once it is overdue. Click Resolve on the action item to log a cleaning and reset the timer. There are no email or push notifications — check your dashboard to see current alerts.
Can I track suppressors and NFA items?
Can I track suppressors and NFA items?
Yes. The Armory module is built to handle serialized NFA items including suppressors. You can record suppressor details, link a suppressor to a host firearm, and track transfer history — the same way you track any other firearm in your armory. My Kit treats NFA items as first-class inventory records.
What competition formats are supported?
What competition formats are supported?
The Range Day module supports logging competition results with stages and courses of fire. You can record match metadata, per-stage scores, and round counts for each stage. My Kit is format-agnostic — whether you shoot USPSA, IDPA, 3-Gun, PRS, or any other format, you can structure your competition records to fit how your matches are organized.
Can I upload documents and photos for my gear?
Can I upload documents and photos for my gear?
Yes. Most inventory items in My Kit support photo attachments and document uploads. You can attach photos of your gear, upload purchase receipts, warranty documents, or serialization paperwork, and store them alongside the item record. All uploaded files are securely stored and scoped to your workspace.
What is the Kit Value shown on my dashboard?
What is the Kit Value shown on my dashboard?
Kit Value is the combined purchase-price total of your firearms, accessories, gear items, and ammunition. It is calculated automatically from the purchase prices you enter on individual items — only items with a price recorded are included. The total appears as a stat card on the Overview page and gives you a quick reference for insurance or resale purposes.
Can I use My Kit on my phone?
Can I use My Kit on my phone?
Yes. My Kit has a mobile companion app for both iOS and Android. The mobile app uses the same account credentials as the web app — no separate sign-up is needed. Note that the mobile app is currently in active development, so some features available on the web may not yet be in the app. See the mobile app page for details.
How do I delete my account?
How do I delete my account?
You can permanently delete your account from Dashboard → Profile, in the Danger Zone section at the bottom of the page. Deleting your account removes your profile, all organizations you belong to, and every inventory record inside those organizations. This action is immediate and irreversible — there is no way to recover data after deletion. Export anything you need to keep before proceeding.
