My Kit tracks maintenance schedules for cleaning, battery replacement, and service status across your Armory and Gear Cage. When something needs attention, an alert appears in the Action Items panel on the dashboard Overview page. Critical items always surface first, followed by warnings, so the most urgent tasks are never buried.
Cleaning alerts apply to firearms in your Armory. To enable cleaning reminders on a firearm, set two fields on its edit page:
  • Last cleaned at — the date you last cleaned it
  • Cleaning interval (days) — how many days between cleanings
My Kit calculates the next due date by adding the interval to the last-cleaned date. Alerts appear as follows:
ConditionPriority
Due within the next 14 daysWarning
Overdue (past due date)Critical
The alert label shows exactly how many days remain or how many days overdue it is. To dismiss the alert, click Resolve on the Action Items panel. My Kit records today’s date as the new last-cleaned date and recalculates the next due date automatically.
If you have a cleaning procedure documented, you can attach it to the firearm on its edit page. The procedure is not required to enable alerts.
Battery alerts apply to accessories (attached to firearms in your Armory) and gear items in your Gear Cage.To enable battery reminders on an accessory or gear item, set three fields:
  • Has battery — enable this toggle
  • Last battery changed at — the date you last replaced the battery
  • Battery interval (days) — how many days between battery changes
My Kit applies the same 14-day window as cleaning alerts:
ConditionPriority
Due within the next 14 daysWarning
Overdue (past due date)Critical
The alert shows the item name and, for accessories, the name of the parent firearm so you know exactly which accessory needs attention. Click Resolve to record today as the new last-battery-changed date.
Battery alerts are only generated when Has battery is enabled on the item. Items without this flag set are never evaluated for battery alerts, even if interval fields are present.
Any firearm or gear item marked as out of service immediately generates a critical alert. These alerts do not use an interval — they appear the moment the out-of-service flag is set and remain until the item is returned to service. The alert shows the item name and the out-of-service reason you entered. Click the alert to navigate directly to the Armory or Gear Cage page where you can update the item’s status.
Out-of-service alerts cannot be resolved from the Action Items panel. You must open the item and change its service status directly.
Ammunition alerts appear when your stock of a specific ammo entry drops below its configured threshold or reaches zero.To configure stock alerts, set the low-stock threshold on an ammo entry in the Ammo Depot. When quantity falls below this threshold, a warning alert appears showing the brand, product line, caliber, and remaining round count. When quantity reaches zero, the alert escalates to critical and is labeled as out of stock. If you have a product URL stored on the ammo entry, both alert types include a direct reorder link so you can restock quickly.
The default low-stock threshold is 100 rounds if you have not set a custom value on the ammo entry.

Where alerts appear

All alert types surface in the Action Items panel on the dashboard Overview page at /dashboard. The panel sorts alerts so critical items always appear before warnings. If you have no active alerts, the panel is empty. Alerts are evaluated in real time each time the Overview page loads — there is no manual refresh needed.
