My Kit secures your account with industry-standard authentication. Your password is never stored in plain text, and all sign-in traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. This page covers how to update your password and how to permanently close your account if needed.

Changing your password

Password requirements:
  • Minimum 6 characters
  • The new password and confirmation must match
1

Go to your profile

Select Profile from the sidebar or your avatar menu.
2

Scroll to the password section

Find the Change password form below your profile fields.
3

Enter your new password

Type your new password in the New password field, then re-enter it in the Confirm password field.
4

Save your new password

Click Update password. If the passwords match and meet the minimum length, the change is applied immediately.
Use a password manager to generate and store a strong, unique password for your My Kit account.

Deleting your account

Account deletion is permanent. There is no grace period and no way to recover your data after deletion.
Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes all data in your organization — including every firearm, accessory, ammo record, range session, drill, competition, and your organization itself. This action cannot be undone.
Data deleted on account removal:
  • Firearms and associated accessories
  • Ammunition records
  • Range sessions, session firearms, and drill steps
  • Drills and competitions
  • Gear records
  • Organization memberships and the organization
  • Your authentication account
1

Open your profile

Select Profile from the sidebar or your avatar menu.
2

Find the danger zone

Scroll to the Delete account section at the bottom of the page.
3

Confirm deletion

Read the confirmation prompt carefully, then confirm you want to proceed. You will be asked to acknowledge that the action is irreversible.
4

Account removed

My Kit deletes all organization data, then removes your auth account. You are redirected to the login page. The process cannot be reversed once started.
If you only want to remove specific records rather than your entire account, you can delete individual firearms, ammo, sessions, and other items from their respective pages without closing your account.
