Drills in My Kit are reusable shooting procedures you define once and run repeatedly. Each drill is made up of ordered steps that describe shooting positions, movement, and actions like reloads or draws. After you run a drill at the range, you log a result on the Performance tab — My Kit tracks your times and scores over time so you can see your progression.

Create a drill

1

Open the Drills tab

Select Range Day from the left sidebar and choose the Drills tab. Click New Drill.
2

Set name, discipline, and scoring

Enter a Name for the drill (for example, “El Presidente”). Choose a Discipline — pistol, rifle, or shotgun. Set the Scoring method to either Time or Points, and optionally enter a Par time (seconds) as your time standard to beat.
3

Add drill steps

Add one or more steps to define the procedure. Each step has an Action type:
  • Shoot — enter the Distance (yards) and Shot count (rounds for this step). You can also set a per-step par time and points possible.
  • Move — describe where the shooter moves.
  • Action — describe a task like “reload” or “draw from holster”.
Steps are numbered in the order you add them. Drag to reorder if needed.
4

Review round count and save

My Kit sums the shot counts from all Shoot steps and sets the total Round count automatically. If your drill has no Shoot steps, you can enter the round count manually. Click Save to create the drill.
The scoring method determines which result fields are relevant when you log performance. With Time, the key field is your completion time and My Kit records whether you beat the par. With Points, the key field is your score. You can fill in both for drills that use combined criteria.

Log a drill result

1

Open the Performance tab

Select Range Day from the sidebar and choose the Performance tab. Click Log Result.
2

Select the drill

Choose the drill from the dropdown. The date is automatically set to today; change it if you are logging a past result.
3

Enter your performance

Fill in your Time (seconds) if the drill is time-based. Fill in your Score if it is points-based. Enter Rounds fired to record the ammo consumed during this attempt. Select the Firearm you used.
4

Add notes and save

Add optional Notes — stage observations, malfunctions, or coaching cues. Click Save. My Kit automatically marks whether you beat the par based on your time versus the drill’s par time setting.

View performance over time

The Performance tab displays a chart of your results for each drill, plotted by date. Select a drill from the filter to focus the chart on that procedure and see your progression across sessions.
