The Accessories tab in the Armory lets you catalog everything attached to or stored alongside your firearms. You can track optics, lights, suppressors, slings, and any other gear — either as standalone items or linked directly to a parent firearm. Battery-powered accessories like optics and weapon lights get their own tracking fields so you never miss a replacement. Select Armory from the sidebar and choose the Accessories tab to view your accessory inventory.

Add an accessory

1

Open the Accessories tab

In the Armory, select the Accessories tab and click Add accessory.
2

Enter the name and type

  • Name (required) — your label for this accessory, shown throughout the dashboard
  • Type — the accessory category: Optic, Light, Suppressor, Sling, Grip, Bipod, or another type
3

Fill in identification details

  • Brand — the manufacturer or brand name (e.g., Trijicon, SureFire, Magpul)
  • Serial number — required for NFA items such as suppressors
  • Product URL — a link to the manufacturer or retailer product page
  • Weight (oz) — factored into kit weight totals
  • Purchase price — included in total kit value calculations
  • Notes — freeform notes such as mount height, zero distance, or maintenance history
4

Link to a firearm (optional)

Select a parent firearm to associate this accessory with a specific gun. Leave this blank to keep the accessory as a standalone item — useful for gear stored in a bag or shared between firearms.
5

Configure battery tracking (if applicable)

Toggle Has battery on if this accessory uses a replaceable battery. Three additional fields appear:
  • Battery type — the battery model (e.g., CR2032, AA, CR123A). Storing this makes it easy to keep spares on hand.
  • Last battery changed — the date you last replaced the battery.
  • Battery interval (days) — how often to replace the battery. My Kit alerts you 14 days before the next replacement is due.
Set a battery interval on every optic and weapon light you rely on. A 14-day heads-up gives you time to order replacement batteries and swap them before your next range session or deployment.
6

Upload a photo and documents

Optionally attach a photo and supporting files:
  • Image — upload a photo of the accessory. My Kit resizes it automatically.
  • Documents — attach instruction manuals, warranty cards, or import documentation for NFA items.
7

Save the record

Click Save. The accessory appears in your Accessories list immediately.

Edit and delete accessories

Click an accessory’s name to open its detail view, then select Edit to modify any field. To remove an accessory, open the edit form and click Delete. Deleting removes the record and its associated image from storage permanently.
Deleting an accessory is permanent and removes its photo from storage. The action cannot be undone.

Battery tracking and dashboard alerts

When Has battery is enabled and a battery interval is set, My Kit calculates the next battery replacement date by adding the interval to the last changed date. When that date is within 14 days, a battery reminder surfaces in your dashboard action items. Resolving the action item from the dashboard updates the last changed date to today. You can also update it directly through the accessory edit form.

Standalone vs. linked accessories

You do not need to link every accessory to a firearm. Standalone accessories — a bag-mounted light, a spare optic in storage, or a sling not currently on a gun — are fully tracked without a parent firearm. Link an accessory to a firearm when you want to see it grouped with that gun’s kit view on the dashboard.
