My Kit organizes your gear inventory into five focused modules, each accessible from the main navigation. The modules are designed to work together — range sessions draw on data from the Armory and Ammo Depot, loadouts reference items from the Armory and Gear Cage, and the dashboard aggregates information across all of them. Understanding what each module manages helps you keep your data connected and accurate.Documentation Index

Armory
Manage your firearms. Track accessories, service status, cleaning schedules, photo uploads, and document attachments for each firearm.
Ammo Depot
Track round inventory by caliber and brand. Monitor lot numbers, storage locations, cost per round, and set low-stock threshold alerts.
Gear Cage
Manage tactical equipment including plates, carriers, vests, optics, and accessories. Track service status, battery type and change intervals, and total weight.
Loadouts
Build named configurations that group firearms and gear together. Supports container relationships and calculates total weight automatically.
Range Day
Log training sessions, drills, drill results, and competitions. Rounds fired per session automatically deduct from your Ammo Depot inventory.
Sharing
Send drills, firearms, gear items, or range bags to other users by email. Recipients can accept (copies into their org) or decline. Rate limited to 20 shares per hour.
Module details
Armory
The Armory is the source of truth for your firearms. Each firearm record supports:- Accessories attached to the firearm
- Service status: in service or out of service
- Cleaning schedules with configurable intervals
- Photo uploads and document attachments (e.g., purchase receipts, warranty cards)
Ammo Depot
The Ammo Depot tracks your round inventory. Each ammo record includes:- Caliber and brand
- Quantity on hand
- Lot number and storage location
- Cost per round
- Low-stock threshold — the dashboard surfaces an alert when quantity falls below this value
- Designated firearm linking — associate a caliber with a specific firearm
Gear Cage
The Gear Cage covers all tactical equipment that is not a firearm. Supported item types include plates, carriers, vests, optics, and accessories. Each item tracks:- Service status: in service or out of service
- Battery type and change interval (for battery-powered items)
- Weight — individual item weights roll up into loadout totals
Loadouts
Loadouts let you define named gear configurations — for example, “Competition USPSA” or “Patrol Kit.” Each loadout:- Groups any combination of firearms (from the Armory) and gear items (from the Gear Cage)
- Supports container relationships, so you can model items stored inside a plate carrier or chest rig
- Calculates and displays total weight based on the weights of its constituent items
Range Day
Range Day is where training activity is recorded. It has four sub-sections:- Sessions
- Drills
- Drill results
- Competitions
A session is a single range visit. You attach firearms used, record rounds fired per firearm (which automatically deducts from Ammo Depot), and optionally attach a range bag snapshot of your gear.
Sharing
The sharing system lets you send individual items — drills, firearms, gear items, or range bags — to any My Kit user by email address. The workflow is:- Select the item and choose Share.
- Enter the recipient’s email address.
- The recipient receives a notification and can Accept (the item is copied into their organization) or Decline.
How the modules connect
The modules share data in several important ways:- Range Day → Ammo Depot: Rounds fired in a session automatically deduct from the matched caliber inventory in your Ammo Depot.
- Range Day → Armory: Sessions are linked to specific firearms, so per-firearm round counts and cleaning schedules stay accurate.
- Loadouts → Armory + Gear Cage: A loadout is a snapshot configuration of items that exist in the Armory and Gear Cage. Deleting a firearm or gear item does not automatically remove it from existing loadouts.
- Dashboard → all modules: The dashboard reads across all modules to surface stat cards, action items, and charts. See Reading your dashboard for details.
