A range session in My Kit represents a single training visit to the range. Each session records when and where you shot, how long you stayed, which firearms you used, and how many rounds you fired. When you link ammo records to a session, My Kit automatically adjusts your inventory — no manual math required.

Log a range session

1

Open the Sessions tab

Select Range Day from the left sidebar and choose the Sessions tab.
2

Set the date, location, and duration

Fill in the required Date field. Optionally add a Start time, the Location (range or facility name), and Duration (minutes) to record how long you trained.
3

Add firearms and ammo

Under Session Firearms, add one or more entries. For each entry, select a firearm, choose the ammo record to draw from, and enter the number of rounds fired. You can add multiple firearms to a single session.
4

Link a loadout (optional)

If you brought a saved loadout to this session, select it from the Loadout dropdown. This is optional and does not affect ammo deduction.
5

Add notes and save

Enter any freeform Notes — drill summaries, conditions, or observations. Click Save to create the session.
When you save a session, My Kit subtracts each rounds-fired value from the matching ammo record’s quantity. If a deduction would bring quantity below zero, it stops at zero rather than going negative. If you edit rounds fired later, the old value is reversed and the new value is applied. If you delete a session, all deductions from that session are fully restored.

Edit a session

Open the session from the Sessions tab and update any fields. Changes to rounds fired automatically recalculate your ammo inventory: the previous round count is added back first, then the new count is subtracted. This keeps your inventory accurate without any manual correction.

Delete a session

Select the session and choose Delete. My Kit restores all ammo quantities that were deducted when the session was originally saved.

Upcoming sessions on the dashboard

You can schedule future range visits by logging a session with a date set to today or later. Any session dated today or in the future appears in the Upcoming Range Sessions panel on your main dashboard, giving you a quick view of planned training.
Your most recent past session is also shown on the dashboard, displaying the date, location, duration, each firearm and round count used, and your notes.
